The UCSD Center for Student Involvement – Communication and Leadership Peer Educators are pleased to present Go M.A.D. (Make A Difference), an interactive half-day conference to strengthen the communication and leadership skills required to enhance personal and professional growth.
Slated for Saturday, April 13, 2013, Go M.A.D. will feature round table sessions and presentations by notable community figures from a variety of professional fields. Held in small groups of 10-20, our workshops allow participants to interact with our speakers directly and learn about how they have made a difference in their community. Check-in will be from 12-1 P.M. in Price Center Ballroom East and the conference will conclude at approximately 7 P.M.
Registration is mandatory and dress code is business casual.
Learning Objectives:
1) Attain a greater understanding of their leadership potential and style by applying the 7 Cs of the Social Change Model: Citizenship, Common Purpose, Collaboration, Controversy with Civility, Consciousness of Self, Congruence, Commitment.
2) Improve communication among diverse groups.
